A Special Kind of Opportunity
nuvRx is a growing, technology-forward pharmacy with a strong focus on personalized care, thoughtful service, and doing things exceptionally well. We believe healthcare should feel more connected, more accessible, and, above all, more personal.
We're intentionally growing at our own pace, with a simple philosophy: quality over quantity, always.
As our team, services, and patient community continue to grow, we're looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for innovation, enjoys solving problems, and wants to help shape the next chapter of nuvRx.
This isn't your typical IT position.
We're looking for someone who can see the bigger picture, bring fresh ideas to the table, and help us build smarter, more connected ways of working.
The Role
As our Healthcare Technology & Systems Lead, you'll work closely with our team to develop, improve, and manage the technology that supports our day-to-day operations.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, introduce new technologies, and help create a more seamless experience for both our patients and our staff.
Some days might involve improving an existing system. Others might involve exploring a new platform, developing an internal tool, or finding a creative solution to a challenge we haven't quite figured out yet.
We value curiosity, initiative, and people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
Most importantly, we want someone who takes pride in the little details. At nuvRx, we believe the best experiences often come from the things people don't even notice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and improving internal technology, digital tools, and business systems.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify workflows and improve efficiency.
- Exploring practical applications of AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Integrating and managing software platforms to help our team work more collaboratively.
- Supporting and optimizing our Microsoft 365 environment and other business applications.
- Improving communication systems and the overall patient experience.
- Helping develop digital solutions for pharmacy operations, logistics, and service coordination.
- Maintaining reliable, secure, and well-organized technology infrastructure.
- Working directly with leadership to turn ideas into practical, well-executed solutions.
You'll have the freedom to contribute ideas, challenge existing processes, and help shape how our technology evolves.
Who We're Looking For
We're less concerned about having the perfect list of credentials and more interested in finding the right person.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience in software development, IT systems, automation, or systems integration.
- A strong understanding of modern business technology and cloud-based platforms.
- The ability to independently research, evaluate, and implement technical solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, databases, APIs, or application development.
- An interest in AI and emerging technologies, with a practical approach to their use.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- The confidence to take initiative, paired with the humility to keep learning.
- A genuine appreciation for organization, efficiency, and thoughtful design.
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy technology, or Kroll pharmacy software would be a significant asset, but isn't required.
The Kind of Person Who Would Love It Here
You probably won't enjoy this role if you're looking for a rigid corporate environment where every task is already defined.
But if you're someone who loves figuring things out, enjoys variety, and takes pride in making things work exceptionally well, we think you'll fit right in.
We're looking for someone who's:
- Naturally curious. You enjoy discovering better ways to do things.
- Resourceful. You're comfortable taking an idea and figuring out how to make it happen.
- Detail-oriented. You notice the small things because you know they matter.
- Independent, but collaborative. You take ownership while enjoying being part of a close-knit team.
- Creative and forward-thinking. You're excited by the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it.
- Invested in quality. You'd rather do something exceptionally well than rush through it.
A good sense of humour and a positive attitude certainly wouldn't hurt either.
Why nuvRx?
We're a small, ambitious team with big ideas and a very personal approach to the work we do.
Joining nuvRx means having the opportunity to contribute to something that's still taking shape, where your ideas matter and your work has a visible impact.
What you can look forward to:
- Meaningful ownership: Your work won't disappear into layers of management. You'll see the difference it makes.
- Creative freedom: We welcome thoughtful ideas, experimentation, and new approaches.
- Direct collaboration: Work closely with a team that genuinely cares about what they're building.
- Variety: A balance of development, technology management, problem-solving, and exciting new initiatives.
- Room to grow: As nuvRx evolves, there will be opportunities for your role to evolve with it.
- A quality-first culture: We care about doing things properly, treating people well, and creating experiences we're proud of.
We're not trying to become the biggest pharmacy.
We're trying to become one of the best.
And we'd love to find someone who's excited to help us get there.
