Bike-park hours, helmets and age limits

Are skateboard parks supervised?

No. The City says they are unsupervised and users act at their own risk. Ride within your ability, take turns and keep the board controlled. Helmets, knee pads, suitable shoes and other protective gear are strongly recommended for skating.

When is Riverside Bike Park open?

The bike park is listed from 9am to dusk, weather permitting. It can remain closed for 24 hours or longer after rain so tracks can dry. Do not ride a wet or closed track simply because the surrounding Riverside Park is open.

Are bike helmets required?

Yes. Helmets are mandatory on all City bike trails under this page. Knee, elbow and wrist protection is also strongly recommended. Walk features first and progress from beginner areas only when ready.
