Online access and bill delivery
How do I register for MyWaterAccount?
Use the account number, account-holder name and service address exactly as shown on the latest water bill. Create a secure login and password. The portal shows up to two years of transaction and consumption history, with print or Excel-download options.
How do I get bills by email?
Enroll in eBilling with a valid email address. The City sends a PDF approximately three weeks before the due date and stops the paper copy. If an eBill is undeliverable, the City immediately cancels eBilling enrollment.
How do I change or cancel eBilling?
Keep the delivery email correct using the City's change-email route. To cancel, send the requested written notice by email; paper bills will resume. Changing a portal login should not be assumed to update the separate billing-delivery address.
Moving, final readings and tenant billing
How far ahead should I open a water account?
Registered owners must submit a complete new-account application at least four business days before water service is needed. A processing fee appears on the first bill. The application also covers an owner redirecting bills to a new tenant.
How do I request a final meter reading?
The registered owner completes the online Final Water Meter Reading request at least four business days before the required date. Complete every field. The processing fee appears on the final bill, including when producing a final bill for an existing tenant.
Can a tenant hold the account in their own name?
The City sets tenant-property accounts up in the landlord or owner's name. As a customer service, bills can be redirected to the tenant at the owner's request. Sending a bill to a tenant does not transfer the registered account ownership.
Rates and the right service contact
How do I change the mailing address?
Registered owners can request a water service billing-address change using current bill details. The City says changes appear the next business day. Use this route to redirect an owner's bill or send it to a tenant for payment.
What are the 2026 consumption rates?
Water is $2.82 per cubic metre and wastewater is $2.87 per cubic metre. Fixed service charges apply separately based on meter size, regardless of consumption. One cubic metre equals 1,000 litres.
What are the ordinary residential fixed charges?
For 15-to-19-millimetre residential meters, the monthly fixed water service charge is $11.21 and wastewater service charge is $8.03. Larger meters have different charges. These fixed amounts are additional to usage and any applicable stormwater charge.
Who helps with an account or service question?
The Tax and Water Division handles account questions. Email water@cambridge.ca for billing arrangements. Public Works can be reached through 519-623-1340 about distribution, sanitary collection or stormwater systems. Keep the account and service address ready.
